A lot of Android smartphone users don’t know that they’ve left on sync for Facebook and Twitter and wonder, “how come this phone sucks? My battery doesn’t last even 6 hours!”.
Well, if you are one of those people and you never checked your Sync settings on your phone, it’s time to start taking control over your battery life by turning them OFF.
Here’s how to save battery by turning off Sync on stuff you don’t need.
First, go to Settings->Accounts & Sync.
Then, you will see all the apps that are running in the background and draining your battery.
You don’t have to turn everything off but just turn off the stuff you don’t need synced all the time.
However, if saving battery is a life-threatening priority for you, just turn off every sync including everything in GMail. You can always manually sync them when you need them.
Now you learned how to turn off sync, you should be all ready to go for all-day Androiding.
